Combined, the three founding members of the Medical Transportation Access Coalition manage transportation services for nearly 38 million Medicaid beneficiaries in 45 states. In some cases, brokers manage transportation for an entire state or regions of a state. In others, brokers do their work through Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Medicare Advantage plans, or hospital systems.
MTAC is governed by a charter that stipulates the coalition’s mission, beliefs and agenda as well as the categories and responsibilities of membership, including allied members.
