In response to a Request for Information issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Inspector General (HHS-OIG), MTAC sent a letter that expresses support for the existing safe harbor that allows providers to address social determinants of health by offering free or discounted local transportation to patients in need.
