[In a survey] two-thirds of the doctors who responded felt their patients would be better off if they had access to transportation their medical appointments. Yet, only 1% of physicians felt they were responsible for helping their patients get those rides. Just three felt their staff was responsible while 89% felt that neither they nor their patient’s insurer had any responsibility for helping arrange transportation.
